Modeling with pigments for most people is a mystery. This is partly due to the fact that many folks confuse pigments with powders and chalks and mistakenly think that these powders and chalks will produce the same results as using industrial pigments. Additionally, not all pigments are created equal. For instance, there are tempra pigments made for finger painting that are nowhere nearly as concentrated as Industrial Weathering Pigments. And only Industrial Weathering Pigments are color-fast with polymer-binder adhesives that enable them to adher to practically any surface.
