COVID Wave #4 is Here in Georgia!

This week the Georgia Governor had to call out the State Army Reserve to assist 10 of the largest hospitals health care workers because the 10 hospitals (5 of them in the Greater Atlanta area) are overwhelmed with intensive care patients—85 to 92 percent COVID un-vaccinated patients. And planned Labor Day events across the Greater Atlanta area are a little over a week away.
We had tentatively planned to see Debbie's Mom after Labor Day. It's doesn't look like it will be safe enough to travel for us travel at this time so we will once again play it safe and self-quarantine ourselves. Which is also good because after a very brief period orders are coming in fast a furious which continues to keeps us super busy!
We continue to seek out new owners for our business that we have for sale. Currently, we have interested in the Scale Model Masterpieces/Thomas Yorke business (see below). As a reminder, we are offering a Referral Fee to anyone who sends a Buyer who purchases either or both businesses.
We just had another inquiry about a photo on the cover of the 2020 Product Flyer of the diorama I constructed back in the 1980s of the “J.W. Wenrich's Manufactory” diorama (Smok y Mountain Model Building Category). My NMRA Contest model was based using a Pola Galvanizing Works plastic kit (a/k/a “Galvanisierbetrieb”) and he would like to build this model. About Doctor Ben's Weathering Stain Products in 4oz Jars

For years Richard E. Bendever has used these versatile non-petroleum Weathering Stains to stain, finish & weather the many craftsman and scratchbuilt models he had been constructing for many, many customers. So when that once famous—now defunct—Floquil® Flo-Stain product line started going for more than a $100 a bottle on eBay in the late 1980s; Richard, now Doctor Ben’s, decided offer an Aged Driftwood Weathering Stain as an exact color match to the 1983 Floquil Driftwood stain. As this amazing Doctor Ben's product became increasingly popular all over the world, additional Weathering Stain colors were slowly created until there were enough for one Weathering Set; and then another; and then another set. It has been several years now and boy the Doctor Ben's Weathering Stain color selection has grown by leaps and bounds!

Starting in 1991, Doctor Ben's has offered a non-petroleum replacement for the long defunct Floquil Flo-Stains© products; especially Driftwood and the rest of the "woodsey" stains. You may recognize this impressive kit as part of our newest HO Scale G-Street Warehouse kit. But as we all know, pike space is limited; so why not cut it in half and make it a Backdrop Structure! Our patterns reflected the uneven and rough wooden form board impressions as well as "oozing" concrete from between them so typical of cast concrete structures.

The castings for this backdrop kit are from our "original" Thomas A Yorke Ent. masters which reflect all of the detail of this structure and much more.
