Yes it is! We are about to end a rather hot & wet & humid time in Maryland's Eastern Shore with Debbie's family. We ventured outside in between rain storms, but then this crazy, crazy weather is not much different back home in NE Georgia! Sure glad that we had an A/C unit installed in our basement back in the Spring. Although the conversion was a little pricey, we've not had to fool with the thermostat that "use" to control the basement AND the main floor of our house. So far so good!
We received this messages a couple of days ago about our "For Sale" announcements, "Oh No! You can't be serious about selling. It was bad enough when Yorke (Tom) would make very short runs of kits and they would sell out before the ad in the Gazette was published and then he would take an order (with payment) and maybe, if we were lucky, we would get the kit (after many letters, or emails, or phone calls-many times all of the above) and you done such a great job making almost all the kits available shipping them right away..." Yes, and that's pretty much how we remember it 10+ years ago before we purchased the Yorke Structure line and we are doing our very best to find just the right person to continue our level of quality and service. Before we created Doctor Ben's and then Scale Model masterpieces I was more widely known for my super detailed dioramas and weathering technique clinics conducted all over the United States. I will be returning to the model building that I so enjoyed as well as returning to offering Clinics again. As a matter of fact Howard Goodwin recently contacted me about conducting a Weathering Clinic for the NMRA SER Spring 2020 Convention and I said Yes.It's been a while since I did formal Clinic so I may be a little rusty, but it should be fun!.
We'll be headed home later this week weather permitting exactly which day we will travel. We will work on getting caught up on the plethora of orders that were placed while we've been away. Thank you for your patience & your business! Please tell your friends; it’s our only advertising.
