This *built up* mini diorama constructed by NMRA National Contest Award Winner Richard E. (Ben) Bendever includes the *original* beautifully detailed Thomas A York casting of stone, wood, and brick. First offered as a kit (kits now available) in 1979, is constructed according to the kit plans, drawings and the staining and weathering recommendations which been updated in the kit to currently available products including easy to learn techniques in Doctor Ben's How-To #2: "The ABC's of Staining Castings" booklet/instructional (included in the kit).
New additions to this kit which are included in this built up diorama is the Loading Dock which can be positioned on either side of the Depot/Station and also rotated to fit your space. Another feature of this model are the Hollow-Cast Tower Sections (including other parts of this model to reduce weight) for you to light and detail, or we can do it for you.
