These Modern Warehouse (strong, high quality Labstone) walls represent structure components of the "tilt-up" style of construction of the very early 1900s through present day and gained popularity in the late 1950's as an efficient means of fabrication. Pre-cast concrete slabs are lifted into place by a crane and bolted to the framework. Variety is accomplished by size, shape and texture of the pre-cast panels.
The castings offered here are a 1980s Thomas Yorke Enterprises series of Modern Industrial Buildings of the 1940 to present time. The "original Yorke structure is a wedge shaped facility which into the narrow spaces such as a location close to the inside of a turnout. These early Yorke kits are very easy to build and surprisingly simple to kitbash to fit any number of posible applications. It is suggested the instructions be read through completely and the plans studied before any construction is begun.
The "original" Thomas A Yorke (SMM3125/HO-125) kit comes with Hydrocal (white) castings including a card stock (material) roof section and separate a/c unit kit, and steps. No additional details were provided in this kit. And yes, Doctor Ben's Weathering would look good on the roof. Directly below are the Elevation and Isometric Views of this kit. Instruction booklet drawings and are Staining/Weathering instructions are included with each wall section purchase..
