The New Stuff in this
Newsletter has been here awhile: Stacks o' Sacks which happens to be an amazing
group of Scale Model Masterpieces details! Originally the Stacks o' Sacks were
part of the Cal Freight & Details Co. intergation into our product line and
originally we offered this product in a "Color-cast" resin. Unfortunately, our
resin caster passed away which opened the door for us to consider casting
the Stacks o' Sacks in ourhig quality, high density, easy-to-stain & weather
LabStone (dental stone) gypsum. LabStone is the very same product that we cast
all of our Scale Model Masterpieces (formerly Thomas A Yorke Ent.) craftsman
kits (HO, S, O, & N) and assorted accessories.
So, the long story short is that the Stacks o' Sacks series is being cast in
LabStone as a resin-cast item runs out of stock. One thing that you may or may
not notice is that items cast using LabStone will either be less in price and/or
the package has more LabStone castings in it than the resin casting originally
had in it.Making the LabStone castings is less costly than resin casting and so
we are passing the savings on to you!
Additionally, the Labstone castings are *much* easier to stain and weather
than the resin castings without all the preparation of washing the mold release
from the resin castings are well as a primer application (for those of you who
do the primer step) and LabStone castings don't have the small of some resins.

SHED Kit Thomas Yorke/Scale Model Masterpieces O/On3/On30 NIB
This Critter Shed kit is a late 2000 offering and
became a Scale
Model Masterpieces kit
that we product in short, limited runs. This single stall shed is cast in Labstone with Tom Yorke and carved walls inside and outside. This kit is possible to construct with a removable, laser cut truss & rafter system and corrugated metal roof for easy detailing of the building interior.
A one-piece cast inspection pit and Grandt Line
Windows are included. Stall length is 28 feet for small power in any
gauge.
