If you missed the Greater Atlanta "Model Train Show" last weekend,, it's one of the hobby's best kept secretes of railroading show we know of. We get visitors from all over the south. We use to be a multi-table Vendor some 15 years ago, bur it just got to be too much for us older folks. Now a days we stay home and let the customers and an occasional interested buyer for one of our businesses come to us. It can create quite a traffic jam in our tiny cul-de-sac!!
Progress on the Scale Model Masterpieces (former Thomas Yorke Ent) website is going as quickly as we had time. We now have two parties genuinely interested in the business. We have cut back to one high school students and in the spring we will recruit a HS Junior that the Senior will teach the ropes.. Business continues to be very steady so there's just not enough time in the week to get everything thing done. And although Debbie and I both have COVID vaccines and seasonal flu vaccines, we continue to be very cautious managing COVID precautions which both students and their parents are also very concerned about as well. We wish an upcoming Happy St Patrick Day (USA) & Set your clocks ahead one hour this Sunday. YUCK!). See you in the Hobby Room wearing a mask and freshly washed hands! |
