Time to Spring Ahead this Sunday!

  Last week we were fortunate to have dry, mid-70s temperatures until this past Sunday when the temperature a daily record high of eighty degrees. We were thinking that Spring was coming very early this year and then it started raining and getting cooler and cooler. Now our weather forecasters are saying that we may have a light snow by this Saturday. If that happens we will have experienced all four seasons in the very same week!
  You may be familiar with the Doctor Ben’s Silver Corrugated Metallic Material that we’ve offered for the past 4-5 years. As a structure builders I really do like this product quite a bit because it is so very easy to cut and fit, it’s so very close to scale and it can be attached to nearly any modeling material with Doctor Ben’s Super Sticky Adhesive. What I am not crazy about is the matte finish silver color which if you need it for a brand new structure it’s great, So for the past month we’ve been testing this same composite material only more of a light, weathered rust color. So far everyone who have seen and/used likes this more neutral finish and so we’ll be sending samples with HO & N scale orders that we mail out for the next month or so as we did with our original Silver Corrugated Metallic Material.    That said, many of you are aware that in late 2019 Debbie and I decided to offer our Doctor Ben's Scale Consortium and Scale Model Masterpieces/Yorke Ent business for sale. Little did we realize that orders would pouring in because so many folks were not able to travel and/or take a vacation. Now we are already seeing gas prices double in the past month and we had hoped to travel to Maryland in April to celebrate Debbie and her Mom’s birthday. If gas prices continue to remain high we may have to rethink our travel plans as well. We’ll keep you posted.
   We'll see you in the Hobby Room with freshly washed hands, wearing masks and hopefully get to hug our Grand Kids and Great Grand Daughter soon!...
