Once again, it certainly looks like many of the Big Box Stores already running TV ads trying to get the jump on each other. Unfortunately, many of the *Prime* Holiday products may still sitting in containers on ships and on the docks waiting for some type of transportation. Happy Veteran's Day 2021 to all our US Service men and women. As I have previously mentioned that I grew up a Military 'Brat' myself in the 50s & 60s. I remember many of the sacrifices that our family made as the US Navy moved us around the world several times. And when we were very young and stationed in the States both of my parents often worked night jobs to bring in a little extra income because 1960s military service families (Enlisted) income was at the poverty line at the time. Please support our US Veterans because they deserve it for keeping us safe!
Anyway, we hope that you have a great week ... we are bracing for another *Cold* Front which is supposed to wither away thanks to all these crazy changing weather patterns. As always, please wear a face mask and wash your hands so we may see you someday in the Hobby Room real soon

This impressive structure was based on one still standing in San Bernardino, California. The original cast concrete structure was built around 1920, but it has seen some changes over the years and our rendition incorporates these. Our patterns reflected the uneven and rough wooden form board impressions as well as "oozing" concrete from between them so typical of cast concrete structures.

2021 Piedmont Pilgrimage

Tour Atlanta’s Great Model Railroads

November is National Model Railroad Month! The Piedmont Division of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) celebrates November with a public "tour" of great model railroads in the Atlanta Area.
The Piedmont Division recognizes the late Bob McIntyre, who founded the concept of the Piedmont Pilgrimage in 2003. Along with Howard Goodwin, Bob helped launch the inaugural Piedmont Pilgrimage that year with 12 model railroad layouts on tour. Since then, the Piedmont Division has continued recognizing National Model Railroad Month every year with this event, which featured over 70 layouts in 2019.
