Happy Early Valentine's Day!

  In case you missed the announcement, tomorrow will be Valentine's Day. Hopefully, you are well prepared and have left hints of items in you DEBenLLC.com website Wish List! Who knows, perhaps if you take a few moments to read through this Newsletter there may be a box of Valentine's Surprise at the end for you!
  I'll bet that you are wondering about the image at the right. I found it on Facebook the other day and I thought to myself; self, would this scene make a great "re-use" of our SMM Small Town Jail kit?  ... What do you think?
  So, all that said, let's move on to the New and forgotten! Be sure to read all the way to the bottom ... a recent Doctor Ben's Product Review was posted on line!

Railroad Roundhouse Stove Kits (3kits)  
Scale Model Masterpieces HO
Three Labstone & plastic kits to make those cold, dark and dank railroad structure just a bit more comfortable when the weather outside isn't so warm and pleasant. This Scale Model Masterpieces kit is composed of UNFINISHED/UNASSEMBLED Cast Labstone & plastic tubing parts and Assembly & Finish are Required. Assembly using most plastic cements and painting may be completed by hand or an air brush.

Double Stall Wood PRIVY/OUTHOUSE KIT #2 
Yorke/Scale Model Masterpieces O
This kit does include a corrugated roof even though the image doesn't show it. You may also notice that this item is Outhouse #2. Yes, there is a Single Stall Wood outhouse #1 and a brick single stall #3 "brick sh** house" kit as well. Just a little "built like a brick ..." humor. This Scale Model Masterpieces kit is composed of UNFINISHED/UNASSEMBLED Cast Labstone & corrugated roofing parts and Assembly & Finish are Required. Nella's Grocery Country Store& Post Office Kit 
1:64 Modeling Guide Magazine 1;64/S
  The Nella Country Store and Post Office prototype was on the Abingdon branch of the N&W in Husk, N.C.. The railroad wanted to name the stop "Allen" but there was already a town named Allen so they reversed the letters to name it "Nella". The U.S. Post office officially called the town "Husk". This was our promotional structure from when we  published the "Modeling Guide" back in early 2000. We still have a couple of these kits available with Free Shipping!  Elevated Horizontal Rectangular Tank  (1kit)
Scale Model Masterpieces/Yorke #9005 MULTI-SCALE
   Yep, this is the 1" x 2" Rectangular Tank now elevated to whatever level it is that you desire. Need a spout to fill the tanks of this locos? Got them too ... CLICK HERE!  FYI I've not had the time to satin and weather the Pilot Model for this product. What you see is the model in all it's naked beauty! (Size: 2" x 1" x 2-1//4" tall) #9005 (LabStone)

Shortline Stone Diesel Oil Facility O (& HO?) scale
  Looking to re-purpose the Small Town Jail into a Shortline Diesel Oil Facility? We shared this on our Facebook page and asked for comments. Obviously, the first post was if it would be in HO scale. Tom Yorke didn't do an HO Scale Jail .... But I'm thinking that the #3127/#3128 "1950s Transition Era Enginehouse" concrete block walls might make a neat HO alternative!  What do you think?
Railroad Tie Lumber Stacks (2pcs) Scale Model Masterpieces HO
 Set consists of  2pcs-1-1/8 inch square x 5/8 inch tall Each High Quality Labstone casting is a stack is constructed of  0.100" x 0.125" x 1.125" long simulated ties. The stacks in this image are simple stained/washed with Doctor Ben's Realistic Oak Weathering Stain (#1081) and then a diluted was of Doctor Ben's Instant Age Weathering Solution (#1152). Yes, it's that simple ... this is weathering & NOT rocket science!

"Short Line Stone Depot" Kit 
Thomas A. Yorke Enterprises/Scale Model Masterpieces HO & O Scales
Waitin' on the 5:05 A shrill whistle breaks the stillness of the evening air. Soon the little engine with a single combine in tow will round the curve and pull up to the tiny depot. The 5:05 is right on time. Originally, Thomas A. Yorke called this station the Rocopilla Depot. The original Rocopilla Depot kit had no specific prototype, but the basic construction techniques used for this model were inspired by a little station south of the border... CLICK HERE

HO SCALE CORRUGATED ROOFING / SIDING MATERIAL

I LOVE making metal roofs and adding metal siding to my structures. The metal roof, when applied right, painted well and weathered to look like an old rusty metal roof just looks awesome. Now I understand that you don’t have to paint metal roofing/siding to look rusted and worn, but that’s just our style and we like the tired and old feeling for our buildings. CLICK HERE
